Deep self-care can mean different things for different women, but Jamie’s Self-Care Manifesto is one of the most complete descriptions I’ve seen out there that has me screaming from the rooftops that YOU can accomplish it! Imagine…expressing yourself completely, showing your wild side, talking to yourself with kindness and compassion, doing more of what makes you happy and less of what doesn’t. Don’t just dream about it…make it a reality! Jamie offers tips that you can put into practice immediately, but I guarantee you’ll be begging for more by the time you get to the end of this podcast interview. We had a great time together and that really comes through during our visit. If I could get a t-shirt made that says “SADIE NARDINI IS MY SPIRIT ANIMAL” I would wear it often. And because she has just moved to Southern California (found out the night before this interview) I’m thinking we will have to find some time to get together, karaoke, hit the piano bar in Santa Barbara that we talk about here, and grab some fries from Veggie Grill for the perfect girlfriend date! Sadie has given me a new perspective on yoga that will never be the same and I’m betting the same thing will happen for you once you learn all about her. She is kind, creative, on a mission, fierce, fun, and deeply generous. (She is also a rock and roll star, but if you want to learn more you have to listen in!) Check out today’s amazing podcast of this Warrior Woman, Sadie Nardini!

The Art of Sacred Self-Care. That was this year’s theme to The Well-Nourished Goddess Virtual Event held in October 2017 hosted by Dr. Mary Pritchard. I was honored to be one of the speakers at this event and thankful that Dr. Mary gave her permission to publish our interview together as today’s podcast. Incredibly awesome! It is packed with amazing insights and best of all, it gives the link to my 30-Day Power of Positivity Challenge (FOR FREE!) at the end of the interview. Enjoy today’s podcast and remember that your oxygen mask goes on first so that you can show up better in the world for your loved ones.
Positive Minded People the book is sure to impress! Michelle is one of nine authors who were asked to share their stories of turning lemons into lemonade and she doesn’t disappoint. Michelle has learned through struggles to trust her intuition and find gratitude in her daily living. From moving across the country to follow her gut (and her gut was right since she’s been in California now for 19 years!) to staring down doctors until one listened to her when she knew something was truly wrong, this woman has learned what it takes to stand on her own two feet and be heard. No one knows you like you do. Welcome to this positivity podcast where we share our ills and celebrate our joys…together.
Is Sex as a Vegan different? According to Ellen? Yes! Check out her new book called “Vegan Sex” as well as her other books on the market like “Eat Vegan on $4/Day”, “Paleo Vegan”, and “Vegan Fitness for Mortals”. I don’t know that I could every keep up with Ellen, but I’m sure going to try! You can learn more about Ellen at vegcoach.com.

Real. Down to earth and well, real. Calla Devlin is the author of “Tell Me Something Real” with her latest book, “Right Where You Left Me” coming out on September 5th, 2017 (the day after this podcast goes live!). Calla was simply a delight to have on the show as we learn her relationship with Kelsey Crowe, how she gets down and dirty with her writing, what motivates and drives her to create young adult fiction that one review said is “good for all humans”, and her fun writing connections in Iowa. I loved visiting with Calla and know that you are going to adore her as much as I did! Listen in to our fun conversation and if you are an aspiring writer, there’s some good advice and tips inter-woven throughout. Enjoy!

Strong is the New Pretty is the perfect mantra for all of us! It also happens to be the title of Kate’s new book that features girls in their natural habitats doing things they love that are silly, loud, messy, fearless, independent, confident and fierce. Kate T Parker and her photography have taken this notion and put it into art form…a tangible way for us to look at and feel the gamut of emotions from playfulness and outright fun to a sense of pride and creativity. I would recommend this book for women of any age and would definitely use it to gift towards a graduating Senior or just a girlfriend who might be having a hard time in their life to remind them of their strength and power. This episode deep dives into how Kate got into photography in the first place to the culmination of this incredible book. You’re gonna love today’s episode!

Intimidated. Yep…that was me when I first learned about Living Room Conversations. After speaking with Joan, however, I have gained a healthy respect for learning how to have civil discussions about topics we might not always agree on. Stop un-friending your “friends” on Facebook because you have a difference of opinion. Stop losing family relationships and real life friends because you have a different political/religious/health view. IT CAN BE DONE! I don’t know that I was convinced of this until I tried what livingroomconversations.org suggests and hosted my own Living Room Conversation around food in my own home! Listen to the podcast and see what I mean…I bet you that you will also realize the need for this in our homes, our friendships, our communities, our nation, and yes, even the world.
Money, A Love Story may have been Kate’s first book, but Kate is up to so much more these days including launching the new Origin Collective (visit origincollective.com) and working on another book to come out in 2019! I think the best thing I learned about Kate is that she is FOR REAL! She is not claiming to know everything, but is sincere in sharing what she has learned in such a loving and supportive way that others are following! Learning about Kate has made me a fan and a follower and I hope to some day add friend to that list! Check out more about Kate on her website, katenorthrup.com and enjoy this fun, uplifting, inspiring episode!
